Paul Thomas Anderson is ambitious and not afraid to swing for the fences every time he makes a movie. It’s what I admire the most about The Master - the scope, balanced with the loose, goofy sense of humor. Felt like a beautiful, strange comedy, soulmates with Punch Drunk Love in some ways.
Resolved: to get some of that mental Paul Thomas Anderson tenacity and swagger back into my day-to-day existence, and to pursue what I’m pursuing, something difficult and scary, joyfully and vividly. Check you later, for now. Time to carpe October.
