Buster Keaton is truly a phenomenon & one of my absolute faves. <3
Re-watching Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928). This is still considered one of most dangerous stunts of all time - Oh, Buster… he didn’t even blink an eye when 2,000 pounds & three stories of house fell around him. What a champ.
The crew apparently turned their backs once the camera was rolling, afraid he would be killed. Dude was badass.
But then again, he broke his neck during a stunt for Sherlock, Jr. and kept filming; this was probably a walk in the park.
Hypnotic, perfect. This is going up on my inspiration board right next to Sleigh Bells’ video for “Rill Rill.” I think my inspiration board needs to be digital.
